Privacy Policy for BIT

BIT is a computer science learning app. This policy is short because there isn't much to say: BIT does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, from anyone, ever.

What BIT does not do

• No account creation, sign-in, or user identifiers of any kind
• No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs of any kind
• No network requests — BIT works entirely offline and has no server to send data to in the first place
• No access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, or photo library
• No third-party data sharing, because no data is ever collected

What BIT stores, and where

Your progress — which concepts you've discovered, your streaks, bookmarks, and any notes you write — is saved locally on your device only, inside the app's own private storage. It never leaves your phone. If BIT includes a home screen widget, the small amount of data it needs (your current streak, whether today's puzzle is solved) is shared only between BIT and its own widget, using Apple's on-device App Group mechanism — still never transmitted anywhere.

Notifications

If you turn on streak reminders in Settings, BIT schedules a local notification directly on your device using Apple's standard notification system. This is entirely on-device and involves no server, no push notification service, and no data about you being sent anywhere.

Children's privacy

Because BIT collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children either. The app is suitable for all ages.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a new "Last updated" date.
